mirror interchange

guys I've see a few malibus with the montecarlo ss remote mirrors on them, i got a set and i tried bolting them to the door after making some new holes higher on the door I've notice that the problem is the angle, is there a solution? are the monte and elcamino mirrors the same?

Mirrors are the same, the gasket which mounts between the door and the mirror base is different. The angle on the Monte Carlo gasket tips the mirror outward.
