Missing Person

Plus if he is active on Facebook as others have said then he basically took the money and ran.

In the future I would/will use Paypal or something similar to send payments where you have some kind of fraud protections. I use to have no issues sending personal checks and cash. Not anymore. I am not sure if using credit card checks for paying for stuff is protected like when you use the card? Just having a 3rd party to fall back on can ease some of the stress of worrying about getting ripped off.

And the worse part is the OP not only lost his funds, but he did not get the parts. I know, this is Captain Obvious, but it is a double whammy that is just a crappy situation. The whole situation stinks!
If he was seen on Facebook lately, then I guess he did turn out to be a douchebag after all. That's too bad. He seemed to be a regular consistent poster for awhile. What makes people all of a sudden become dishonest?....I don't know. Did he need the money that bad?
I hope Doug is able to get some satisfaction out of this situation.

That is what makes me scratch my head. He joined a month after me and had over 1000 posts I believe? Basically 6 months of very heavy use of this forum and then bam, cold turkey. Plus money was sent and no parts delivered and he disappears. You just never know nowadays.

I second it that I hope Doug eventually makes out ok.

Just a thought. Does anyone on the forum have the part he was looking for and be willing to donate it to him until he can settle his money loss? This could have happened to any one of us and maybe this gesture might help him some for the time being?

Jeff,
I guess you never know people until they pull off a stunt like this. Well, I believe in Karma. He'll get what's coming to him.

If I had the parts he needed I would have gladly given them to him. That's a nice gesture, though.

Maybe the seller sock puppet account for another poster here? Also could be the seller may have screwed up somehow and rather then fix things, he ran and ignore the problem in hopes it will blow over in time.

Besides the USPS, check into the Attorney General's office in Pittsburgh. Fraud is fraud & its the AG's job to help to try to right it. This is why if I don't use PayPal I'll use a USPS money order.

What exactly is it you are missing and need to continue the work you need to get done?

And better yet, where are you?

I have a pair of regal doors here that were/are power. I might be able to get you some of what you needed for the time being until (hopefully) that mess gets straightened out.

Unfortunately, I'm also VERY limited in what I can lift, move, or do from accident injuries. In a perfect world you're somewhat close to the atlanta area...

I believe Doug lives in the Pittsburgh area. I think it was about power window parts if I'm not mistaken.
It's very nice of you to offer these parts to him. Most guys on the forum are pretty cool in that respect. Don't hurt yourself, man.
