I cut my stock springs, 1 1/2 off the front and 1 full off the rear. This is only temparary as i am going to be putting air ride on my car. Also this made the front extremly low so i had to modify the frame just above the lower control arm so it wouldnt bottom out, it rides the same as it did before i lowered it because i made sure it still has suspension travel.

how about if I only cut 1 whole off? I dont wanna touch the frame or anything

I used all Belltech parts for my drop, complete with S-10 bumpstops up front to help with the ride and prevent bottoming out. The rear took a good year or so to settle, and the S10 2" drop springs drop the front of a G-body about 3" from stock.

Belltech PN's:

Front Springs: 4220 (for S-10)
Front Shocks: 7012 (for G-body)
Rear Springs: 5100 (for G-body)
Rear Shocks: 7517 (for G-body)

GM:
S-10 front bumpstops: 15956547

Hope this helps 🙂

One loop off the front should sit nice. (didnt say handle nice). I would do the front first and see if you like where it sits, then if you want more cut a half loop from that point. Do the rear last because its the easiest to do and you may even like that raked look with only doing the front.

you should really try to find springs with the proper drop. cutting the springs is reneck engineering (hey i've done it) and changes the spring rate, durability and fitment of the springs.
