Most Common G-Body Problems

For me- RUST. I bought a MIG just for this wagon. Headliner is just common to all GM. Paint sucks too.

Passenger side number 2 body mount rot due to poorly designed HVAC rain drain.

Ever growing list of discontinued replacement parts and direct fit performance parts.

Lack of required frame and body reinforcing from the factory downsizing in the 80's.

Primarily being designed as Granny cars first and foremost, with the performance sub models being ad hoc afterthoughts by GM marketing.

Lack of factory cup holders.

Awful front suspension setup that requires major reworking to be acceptable.

That problem of rain on the floor in the passenger side footwell.
I have yet to come up with the right fix
for that. And I have owned 6 of these cars (2 currently).
The B pillar crack from the previous owner putting a BBC in it with no chassis reinforcement.
Siliconed it to keep the rain out.
