The box might have the correct part number but the part may be the wrong one.

I had that issue when I tried to put later mounts in my 70S, about the same amount from lining up. Pre 73 BBO and SBO used different mounts, all 73 to 90 RWD mounts are the same BBO or SBO. Sometimes some shifting and pushing with a pry bar is necessary to line them up. Loosen slightly where they attach to the block, might allow the necessary movement.

That pic is with no bolts onto the block and if I line up bottom for bolt I have a gap for bolts to block the angle is off on tha t corner

I just looked at Rockauto

they have 5 different brands listed all the same part number

All the pics look just like the ones you bought
