I've been wondering myself if maybe Wyoming or Idaho might me more like Colorado used to be, before it started becoming new california?

Haven't ever been up that way myself...

I thought about Wyoming it's cheaper to live, I just need to find good work and settle there

I was going to say the same thing. Unless you are going their strictly for the pot, there are better/cheaper states to get a mountain fix in. My relatives went there mainly for the pot.

If I wanted west+mountains the way Colorado used to be, I'd go to Wyoming. Way more car & gun friendly, too.

Last time I was in Denver it was 2 o'clock in the afternoon on a non holiday weekday and there were grown adults wandering around in traffic. I was on Vacation, they should be productive, taxpaying members of society at a job that allowed them to afford to live in Denver, but they had glazed look and were wandering out into traffic.

First of all, props to you for picking up and moving somewhere completely different. Colorado is absolutely beautiful if you love the Mountains and the outdoors. I lived there(Glenwood Springs) for a few years back in the Late 70's, but that was a completely different era. I have visited since and would Love to live there myself again, but not enough to leave here,, yet
My Daughter lives there now, ..Boulder area, She is very "Outdoorsy" and works for the Parks Department. She Loves it and probably not moving back East again. She moved out there with her then Boyfriend, he was a pretty handy mechanical kind of guy and got a good job too.
She does tell me housing is hard to get and very expensive...in her area.
Im actually planning a Vaycay back out there this summer..

Good Luck with your move out West!

Just getting out of Rochester is a big plus. I worked/lived there for over a year removing asbestos from a bunch of the old Kodac buildings. Them shutting down has to put a real hurting on that city.

i went to school in Laramie Wyoming back in 1999 it was beautiful living out there.wish i took advantage of it.
