My 1988 Cutlass resto project

Nothing like grinding on fresh paint!!! When a fella asked the body shop to delete on my antenna hole this is what you get, 1/2” of bondo!!!! Wife noticed a spot and low and behold it was cracked bondo! This is my project today! I should have just done it myself….

I used som Por-Patch to "glue" in a patch from the inside of the fender to plug the hole then leveled it out with 'glass filler since my Monte has the windshield antenna.

Got it ready to put a hole patch in tomorrow, got 99% of the dent out, also forgot another the crack in my door that happend also… that is getting fixed also

Nice work, the door crack is pretty common also I had to do my Monte driver's door and I have also welded the antenna hole closed on both of my cars, I use a thicker gauge metal for the plug and use a magnetic pick-up tool to hold the plug until I get a few tacks on there. IMO it looks so much cleaner without the antenna.

I appreciate it, this was supposed to have been done at the body shop but well they just filled it with bondo!!!! Just irritated I had to grind off fresh paint to do it right…I thought I could trust my body shop but lesson learned and allot of money wasted

Didn’t get as much as I wanted this weekend, need to grind the antenna hole and prime. Will finish it up tomorrow before work
make sure you get under that patch(won't be easy, something with a wand) and hit it with primer or cavity wax or something to keep it going bad down the road.

Finally got my issues fixed…
