Yeah man no problem. Maybe you should have bought that engine haha. One thing I was wondering was if you guys ended up getting that jeep done or what came out of it? Looked like a fun little project!

got the 4" lift on it with wagon wheels and 33's now. runs and drives pretty good. hes just waiting on the exhaust since he bought headers for it. after thats done hes gotta fab up brackets for the plow so he can try to make some money back this winter haha. i have to say its pretty badass looking compared to stock height.

Re: My 86 442: update 11-2-10

Hey guys thinkin bout converting my car over to a manual trans, now that the 350 is in. I would like to put a 5 speed in so I have overdrive with the 3.73 rear end. My question is, is there a crossmember out there to do this with? All I have been able to find are crossmembers for 4 speed transmissions. Would I have to do a little custom work in order to make the 5 speed fit, if I decide to go with that instead of a 4 speed?

Re: My 86 442: update 11-2-10

I cant do pics until my laptop is fixed... :x

A th350 x-member can be used for a 4 speed saginaw i know for sure because i was gonna do that. a 5-speed, i have no idea. Doober could shed a lot of light on this subject or i could throw a lot of links at you if (again) i was on my laptop.

Iceman is by far the best crossmember out there i believe, on his site it says a custom crossmember can be made. maybe get in contact with him.

I used a jegster crossmember for a 700R4

Re: My 86 442: update 11-2-10

Thanks for your input guys, Ill look into those x-members too. Anakputa did you have to modify the x-member alot, and what 5-speed are you using?

Re: My 86 442: update 12-10-10

Looks like ive got some work to keep me occupied over the winter months... Picked up a bunch of new suspension pieces to install.

I got:

upper and lower control arms for the front
steering rebuild kit
upper and lower control arms for the back
new sway bars front and rear
new springs all the way around
all new hardware

All the pieces came from Spohn Performance except the springs those are moog springs.
