Re: My 86 442: update 1-15-11

Thanks for your comments 88! This thing is almost 3 years in the works I bought it when I was 18 and im now going on 21. I just put my own little twists on the car and had fun with it.

Anakputa do you know what 5 speed trans if any would bolt up to an Olds motor?

Re: My 86 442: update 1-15-11

Maybe use an aftermarket blowproof bellhousing? They have multiple mounting bolt holes from what I can remember? The problem you have with a T5 is that it is tilted. If you have deep pockets a Doug Nash transmission would be nice.

Re: My 86 442: update 1-15-11

The T5 is tilted 17 Degrees and the bellhousing is removable. If you can find a mechanical linkage bellhousing for the 83 Camaro (like hens teeth) or if the headers clear the hydraulic slave cylinder. This is if you are using a chevy engine, but I think you mentioned the olds motor. Is the starter motor on the driverside of the engine or passenger? Its been a while since I worked on an Oldsmobile.. :blam:

Re: My 86 442: update 4-26-11

Just picked up this H/O wing off of 88hurstolds, it was his bodyman's special. Spent about 4 hours putting new tips on it and fixing the damage. I think it came out real nice. Here's some pics up to the primer phase.
