Nice tuck on the bumper. You may not know it but the impression that you have on that kid will last a lifetime. Took my kid ( 24 now, guess not a kid anymore ) for a blast in friends modded Miata I guess a year ago now. Full on smokey donuts with the top down. She barely cracked a smile. Said it's nothing like the memories she has in the Monte going for ice cream,..... sideways up the street :) . awwww made my rusty old heart melt. Hope your kid treats the olds good when you hand it down !!
I can only hope....

Took it out for an anti-COVID19 run yesterday.... met up with some gearhead friends (individually) and got some miles on.
It was really bad on part throttle and off idle; to the point where I was frying the clutch to get it moving. I had a few minutes to investigate this afternoon. I originally thought it might need more primary jet, but I found that the primary accelerator pump was too tight from the rebuild bench. I loosened it up a touch, and it seems 90% fixed. I'm waiting for it to cool off, so I can pull a plug to see how it's doing.

Looks too lean? I added 50cfm to the carb, but didn't change jets. It's faster (as hell!), but think I need to change jets. How much 1,2,3,4 sizes? What you think?

I wish Dad was still here (he went home) but I think he'd say go two sizes and then reread the plugs. Very cool car.

Bruce I've only skimmed the thread but I love the car. I even love the paint. It's cars like this make me want to finish the Regal and drive the sh*t out of it.

That body style has been growing on me more and more over the past few years. Really looks great in red and with the 4 speed it’s even better. You nailed the look and stance with your car!

Trust me, it's still way too 4x4 for me. I have a slam/straighten plan for the frame, but ya gotta weigh smiles/hours. I have to make up for 2yrs on jackstands this season and enjoy the tweaks.

Always make jet changes by two sizes. Also, save yourself a lot of guess work and get a WB02 on there.
