BUILD THREAD My last elkie

Okay here's my summary after purchasing two sets of rocker arms from two different companies. I'm going to be nice and call them middle of the road rocker arm sets. Speedmaster Chrome moly steel produced by PCE felt loose and rough, The tips had a enormous amount of endplay and the trunnion bearings just felt rough, I have no other way to explain it. I Returned them with no problem. I then purchased a set of rocker arms from autoplicity.com. Stainless steel full roller rockers from Elgin. These things looked beautiful on top but when you turn them over you will find serious casting issues between the fulcrum and the push rod pivot ball area. I'm not sure if they were just casting flaws or actual cracks but I damn sure ain't putting them in my engine, lol. And by the way autoplicity fought me to the end on my return I had to go through PayPal which took a month and I was awarded my 234 and change back I would not buy anything from autoplicity a-holes. So in summary I ended up purchasing a set of comp cams Gold aluminum "arc" series rockers for 413 free shipping.
Thanks melloelky, The road to experience is full of potholes. I was fortunate enough to be able to afford to Make the comparison between some of these rocker arms. Is it a full comparison hell no, but I do feel like it has a pretty current place in our automotive industry. I was seriously looking at Harlan Sharp as their rocker arms have a solid place in racing and a solid reputation. But all of my engine I'm building now has pretty much Comp everything so I'm going with the comp gold arc's.
