Joe! She's beautiful! That paint came out great! Also I can say from an experience that a '76 350 with a cam is a nice addition to an '87 Regal.

Thanks Brian, your car was a big inspiration for a lot of stuff I did with mine. I couldn't be more pleased with the paint myself. The engine plans keep changing the more I dig into it, so I think the final draft will be-
Comp Cams K92-203-4
TA Performance 10:1 .030 Pistons
Port Match Heads
Quadrajet 750 cfm carb
Most of TA's oiling mods

That's my plan for now. I asked the members of GBF what kind of power it will make, and the average guess seems to be 320 horse, 375 torque. I just need time to work on it now!

That ought to be a bit more potent than my 350. I'm under the impression that it got a very basic rebuild with "stock" compression, and I'm still only using my 600 Holley from my 307. Even so, there is still plenty of grunt with the cam and headers and I can only imagine what yours would be like.

What headers are you running? I want to run a set, but so far the only thing I can find that is close is Hooker's A Body Headers. If I may make a recommendation, I would upgrade you carb to at least a 750 cfm. That's what they came with stock; the Buick's seem to be a bit more thirsty than their other GM 350 counterparts. You should notice a pretty decent boost with a bigger carb.

I don't have any badging on mine, but after research I believe they're Poston A-Body headers, which are probably discontinued for all I know. I found them on ebay. They're nearly identical to Hooker's set.

And yes I do plan on changing carbs. Actually, I'd really like to go with fuel injection but it's prohibitively expensive and for the money I'd almost rather buy a T-56. lol

How goes the engine build?

I know this hasn't been updated in some time, but I wanted to fill in a little. The car has been sitting under a cover in my parents' garage pretty much since November, and the engine is on a stand right next to it, when it's been torn down to the bare block since April or so. Everything from the engine has been labeled, numbered, and organized so there shouldn't be any extra bolts when it comes time to put it back together. I honestly haven't had the time nor have I really felt like working on the car, so not much has been done. I got yet another new daily driver that has been keeping me busy with its own little problems. I'm to the point with the engine where I might just do a one weekend, redneck, dingleball hone, new bearings and rings, clean it up and paint it and put it in the car, just so I can get the car back on the road. I didn't attend a single car meet or cruise night this year so I feel a little 'out of it' when it comes to this car, but I want to get it running and driving again. Stay tuned!

Mine took damn near two years. It pays to be patient and do it right.

You aren't wrong, but a car that is running and driving is a lot more motivating than one that is sitting in the garage collecting dust without a motor. I've been working on this car for going on 6 years so my patience is dwindling into disinterest. Engines are a dime a dozen so I can always build another and swap it in.
