MY pinion gear didn't like my new engine!!

As the title states my pinion gear decided to take an extended vacation today. gues he didn't like his new neighbor (the new more powerfull engine). Guess its time to put that 12 bolt in. 🙂

Yea. I have a 12 bolt made for the G-body from Moser, drum to drum, with oversized drums, c clip elim., 4.56 gears, just waiting to go in.

Is that 7.5 unit posi? Still any good? Looks like an Auburn clutch type.. or is it a factory Eaton?

Its an Eaton but an aftermarket unit.

No hard at all, I was going 35mph in first and nailed it.

I have a 355 with flat top pistons, vortec heads - pocket ported - screw in studs - 1.5 roller rockers, 11.25 to 1 comp. , Crane extreme energy cam .510 lift, edelbrock air gap manifold, 750 holley double pumper. No idea on the HP yet, still have to get her to the dyno.
The rear had quite a few miles on it.
