See post above about wheels, friend of mine is working a deal to hook me up with some Telstars 😀

Motor is SBC 350, one its first oil change 😀, built by yours truly, TH350 trans, in fact, I did all of the work on this car myself including paint and body.

The green came about because of the 2 tone Jadestone green interior, Not much goes with it besides white and silver, of which I don't care for either one on these cars just because there is a lot of them out there.
Its actually a stock Ford color, Dark Amazon Metallic, and it wasn't cheap!

I would suggest to get a set of GN front air dams. You can get them from Kirban Performance for around 90 bucks for the pair.

I have some bookmarked , but the ones you suggest are less money. Thanks for the tip!
I wonder if they'd be too low with my front end dropped 2 1/2 inches?

OMG! Jim, QUICK, hurry up and go grab the flat head screwdriver, or, if there isn't one near by, grab a butter knife, really quick go run (don't walk) to where the Regal is parked and pry off those hideous chrome hubcaps immediately!

Seriously though, welcome to GBF, and nice build -- the only thing that made me go "yuck" is the hubcaps. I say, the plain steel rims would do the Regal better justice until you get your new rims on her bro.

Anyways, speaking of new rims, I love a wide deep dish look on a Regal... I saw one on Cardomain which I can't seem to find right now (been looking for the past 45 minutes) -- it was 3 pictures and it was labelled "sickest Regal in Florida" it had 18" deep chrome wheels, the rears were so sick lookin'... anyways, here's a page of some sick looking Regals , perhaps you can base your rim decision on this look! http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?2967323

I actually have the air dam kit from Lauren Engineering where I got the rest of the body kit, it doesn't fit worth a sh*t and wont clear the tires either. I didn't really like the looks of it after it arrived anyway.
Someone can have it for 20 bucks + shipping

Re: New Guy, My 1981 Regal Ltd

Car looks good(not gonna give ya crap about the rims) Could you tell me how you did your bumpers?? I wanted to remove the impact strips and weld in the holes then rechrome but That's going to kill the budget!!..So instead I'm going to either get some fiberglass replacements(I'm planning on alot of bracket racing next year so the weight savings will be good but I also want to drive on the street and feel somewhat safe) or strip the originals and fill and paint to match body...oh yeah welcome to GBF!!

Re: New Guy, My 1981 Regal Ltd

Nice Color!
Like the shaved bumpers & monochromatic paint!
Ditto on the hubcaps-gotta go-hope you got the telstars!
Did yours have all the chrome tip to tail on the lower body before the bodykit?
(I'm missing the left rear plastic piece- the rest are in place on mine.)
Only seen 2 other 81 Limiteds in the 22 years I've had mine-
Here's a pic:

I know- would look better w/ Buick Rallys instead of Olds, but it's a family tradition- those wheels were on my pop's car & same as the ones on my Grandfater's 68 as well. Besides, I can't find a 15" set of Buick Rallys w/ 5 on 4.75 spacing!

Unfortunately, she's For Sale now: see the classifieds section
