Roof is on, plumbing is 90% done, electrician is starting tomorrow. Front porch was started on Saturday. Trusses went up today but I didn't grab a pic.

I have one going into my spare room. I put it in when I gutted the house back in '88 but now theyre very popular. Like the barn doors. LOL
We did it because we were running out of room for doors to open and not block or affect hallways or rooms.
Exactly why I used one. Rooms small. If I used a standard door it would have opened up against a closet or a bed. My house is so old (1900) and small the downstairs bathroom door opens out. Screw it, it works. LOL
The house looks a lot bigger than it is. It's 1500 sqft. Two bed, two bath. Only thing I think is big will be the back deck and porch. 12x41 IIRC
Snapped a quick pic of the trusses on the front porch, then spent awhile talking to the electrician and about light and switch placement questions... He's 85% done with rough in, in one day.
Ceiling fan in the porch is a nice touch for summer eves.
The architect had two fans on the porch. Evidently she never listened to us. We didn't want any fans outside on either porch because we don't need them. There is ALWAYS a breeze since we're on a hilltop and surrounded by open farm fields. But I do agree, a.nice breeze on a summer night is relaxing
