Spent the day cutting up the tree and stacking the branches. I know the guy doing the demo, he said hey if you want to use my skid steer go right ahead. Hopped in it. No key. Then I remembered a friend gave me a Caterpillar key that was supposed to work in all machines. Grabbed it and Voila! Was able to tear out about 25' of wood line filled with sumac trees and stack those on the burn pile. Lots accomplished this weekend! And now we wait on the building permit. Hopefully this week...

Small update. One step forward, two back. We've been waiting on one last thing in order to get our building permit, approval from the county for our new septic system. We were told by our builder that the engineer he uses and hired for our system handed the plans in a week ago thursday, August 1st. So this last Thursday I called the county at 4 pm and they had already left for the day. Must be nice! Friday morning they call me back and the lady says she'll look into it. She calls me back and says we don't have any plans to approve. 😲. Wife calls the builder, gets the engineers phone number. "Oh yeah, I'm almost done with them" WTH?! You mean they aren't even designed yet?!?! So he finally designed the system and emailed it to the county Friday evening. We emailed the county and pleaded our case, hoping maybe since it's an easy, straight forward system, they will just stamp it and we can get the building permit early next week.

In the mean time we lit the pile of brush and stumps and have been burning that all weekend....

Finally got the building permit! And to top it off it was cheaper than what they had initially told us. That's always good news LOL

You should send the uncompressed raw picture file to one of those puzzle companies or get it blown up for a large picture frame...for nostalgic look back 10 years from now. Neat picture. Maybe title it "Burn, b*tch!" :)

Your backyard view is awesome (y)

While there is never enough garage space that looks like a healthy size to me.

Thank you! Yeah, the garage is never big enough LOL 24' wide by 34' deep. Wish it was just two foot wider. With everything against the walls, tools, shelving, etc, it makes it very tight for two vehicles side by side.
