New house

Want to get sick ? Look at this ad. This house is a block over from me. My son was looking at it. The couple had it built, split up, the husband kept the house and one day he left for work and never came back. The bank took it over, sold it through an auction to a realtor that fixed the issues and flipped it. Look at the selling price and scroll down to the property taxes. Like I said, LI sucks. My son and his wife make good money but Ive told them to get out of NY. This state sucks the money right out of your wallet.

I got almost 7 acres and for that ONE year I'd be paid up on taxes until around 2032 or so. 😳

We've got a mansion in our town that is almost done being built. They've been working on it for four years. With several full crews... Their current TAX bill per year is 360k per YEAR!!!!! Estimated to have spent 40 million on it. WTF!

I could buy an entire town around here for that.

What town if that ? I'd love to see the area on google earth

Little frustrated, but I've been told to get used to it. Progress has been slow to say the least. Contractor had issues at the house he just finished. Boiler leaked, shorted electrical out, then his mother went into the hospital with kidney failure. As of today this is where it stands. I guess forward progress is better than nothing.

The garage is 24' wide by 34' deep. Wish it was 6' wider then it would be a perfect two car garage. LOL

In other news we just finished signing for the mortgage/construction loan. Time for a beer!
CONGRATULATIONS!!

Sorry about your delays. Those concrete forms might have came from ten miles north of me? Are they Tasler Iceblocks? So far the contractor that I hired has keep us informed to what he is going and has done what he said he will do. For a young guy he is pretty good. I just hope it stays this way through our project. Once they get started, I bet your house will go up pretty quick.
