Good to know. I think I'm going to be backfilling this coming weekend. Wanted to do that before I put up the last few rows of blocks.

Well, its finished. Kind of... need to get the cap blocks and then probably some stone to dress it. Since its under a deck, I can't plant grass, don't want to mulch it and have to deal with redoing it. So stone it is. Took two yards of #2 stone behind it to fill, then wrapped the landscape fabric over it and tucked it into the last row of block. Bit of dirt over the top to get ground level correct. I'll snag the top dressing blocks this week and possibly the stone too. That way it will be done, hopefully forever.

Also painted two more exterior doors on the last nice weekend we'll probably have.

Installed the cap blocks tonight. Cleans it up pretty good. My OCD hates that they don't all end with the same amount of over hang though. Wife says it looks great so I guess thats all that matters 😉

Nice choice of color for the doors ! What are they made of ? Fiberglass ?
Thank you! Yes they are fiberglass. I thought I could get away with doing them next summer but had a friend warn me not to wait. He built a house and never painted his doors, oneof those, yeah I'll get to it things. 6 years later he noticed strands coming off the door. The UV light had broken down the fiberglass and he could put his finger right thru the door 😲

Well, wife has been really down since our pup passed away in July. Hasn't been able to get out of her funk. So we did a thing last night at Helping Hounds dog rescue. Meet Daphne
