Well semi-unrelated, but we had a pretty bad week. Our bestest friend and companion, Sasha had to be put down. This all came as a surprise and happened within a week. She was fine last Wednesday, and we had to put her down this Wednesday. Ended up having pancreatic cancer. We are truly devastated and heartbroken.

My sincerest regrets to hear that Shawn. I know firsthand how devastating that is. I’m still reeling from losing my best friend Tucker at the end of January. My life hasn’t been the same since, and not in the greatest way.
Not a day doesn’t go by that I don’t think of him and miss him dearly.

My heartfelt apologies to hear that.

So sorry to hear. Dogs truly are man's best friend. They become a big part of the family.

Our Puli dogs (walking dreadlocks) are pushing 13 and 10 already. Life expectancy for the breed is 12-16 years. I hope not to have to make a post like this anytime soon.

Again, sorry to hear.

Finally got the first camera up and working. Thought it would be a couple minute job. Not so much. I had a single gang box installed in the soffit on each corner of the house, and ran Ethernet cable to it. Figured I could just mount the camera to the block off plate and drill a hole for the cable to pass thru. Well, that left a gap from the mounting ring of the camera. I was concerned it would give pests, like bee's, a place to live. So instead I made these plates at work on the CNC router. Plate mounts to box, ring mounts to plate, camera mounts to ring. See, simple 🤣

That'll give some warning to seal up the hidden doors to the bunker when the feds and revenuers come a knocking.

The temporary 100 gallon propane tank that was installed back in February was finally replaced today. We were supposed to get a 500 gallon back then but the propane company driver was concerned about driving across the lawn and burying his truck so they would only do a 100 gallon. Conduit was already buried for the line to slip thru. This is actually temporary too, but will probably be like for a couple of years. We want to get a 1,000 gallon tank and bury it but you have to buy those and we're out of money for the house LOL At least with the 500 gallon I think we can make it thru the winter on a single fill. It'll be close be we should be able to or maybe just need a little right at the end of March. Fingers crossed. Now to finish grading where the conduit was still exposed at the ends and plant more grass 🤣

Tank set, line ran, still hooking it up.

Graded by the house until the sun started roasting me. Good enough for the moment, try to finish it this weekend.

Need to bury the tape. Will do that with a spade and just tilt the soil back and slip it in.
