I purchased my 81 El Camino in 1989 with 34k on it and drove it until it had 52K. I then completely stripped it to do a Crystalite conversion. Well that was 25 years ago and now that I am retired from the military, I final am working on it again. Crystalite went out of business, but Laurens' owner is his son. I epoxied the frame and installed urethane bushings, Raptor lined the underside, installed new Spohn front and rear upper and lower control arms, put 1LE rotors with Buick Roadmaster spindles on the front, converted the rear to disc, rebuilt and installed an 86 Z28 TPI engine with 200 4R trans, and converted the bench seat with bucket mounts. When the car is done it will have the IROC front nose, wheels, mirrors, and complete Camaro dash, wiring, and interior. I will post pictures once I figure out how.
