Love the looks of the ‘Bu coupes. Almost more than the Monte Carlo. Not that I don’t like the MC. I just love the simplicity and cleanliness of the Malibu coupes.
Thank you!Welcome to the site! That's a good looking Malibu!
Lol!Welcome Wayne; More pictures, more pictures, I'm bias. I ordered mine new 38 years ago & I'm curious what's the story with the SS badges? I was under the impression that the only SS Malibu's were put together by a dealership down in the South East? And they were all white with a blue stripe? Previous owner had car painted & put previous generation Malibu SS badges on after fresh paint?? When I ordered mine I wanted the biggest anti sway bars with the most engine. And my only choices were a F-41 (1-1/8" Fr bar & 3/4" rear?), Saginaw 4 speed, 305 4V (I forgot the L code). So I ended up ordering the 9C1 with the 1-1/4" Fr & 7/8" bars. And then I was able to get the LM-1 350" (the Joke engine, I meant Junk engine) with the Th-350 trans only! Anyway SS Malibu's made between 78 & 80 always interest me! Enjoy, Ole' Bob.
Lol!
Hey bob,
I just loved the badges from the past and decided to add them to my 1980 Malibu before I had it painted and installed the 406 cu.in.
510 HP. Chevy Small block and M22 Ruck Crusher 4-speed trany to the car. Originally this was a V6 car.
I also removed the "stick-on" body side moldings prior to paint for a CLEAN look.
Most guy's that know a thing or two about the G body's say to me , "I didn't know they made an SS in 1980"
I didn't either, Did they? You got a picture of one? I would love to see it.
Here a more pic's of my car for ya!
