Also wanted to say thank you to Texas82GP for the new cross member mounts
You're more than welcome. Glad to see them help bring back that car.

Proof in the pudding lol...

The small belt sanders work well for spotweld removal and plug weld dressing as well, especially on some of GM's big welds. Available pretty much everywhere, here's a pic from HF. We have some at work sourced from 3M. Hardly use spotweld cutters anymore for damaged part removal, belt is way faster....grind until you see the ring, then separate with Steck chisel

As a complete hack that borrowed his buddies Home Depot Lincoln and shopped the HF Hobarts, watch the wire size and availability. IIRC, Hobart had off sizes that were only available at certain stores, but of course, a good welding supply store should have whatever you're looking for.

This the Lincoln I was looking at
Yep, that's one I was using. My only real complaint is the heat range selector; it's got detents. It would be much better as a smooth sweep. There are instances where one is too cold, but the next step up blows through.

Harbor Freight says there stuff is better than everyone's else's so i would go with theirs!!!!

I’m open to hearing if anyone has used it and had good success.
I know years ago the biggest issue with HF brand mig welders was their consumables were specific to them where most brands can use readily available Lincoln ones.
