Prime time for the headlight bezels hoping to get the grille taped up the rest of the way this afternoon so I can get it prepped and primed

T-tops bring t-floors... and even more pain. Sorry for your loss.

Very fortunate the only things that aren’t reproduced that I need was the firewall and the floor pan section under the rear seat. Thankfully I have those pieces that I’ve gotten from some of my donor cars to repair this one

Seriously. I never thought I'd see the day so much was available at the click of a button (and the stressing of a credit card). This is the golden age, my friend!

Yes it is. Currently waiting on gbodyparts to get the correct upholstery back in stock for the lear siegler seats and door panels and I’ll get that ordered also. There’s actually quite a bit of reproduction parts available surprisingly

The same sentiment given by the guys who buy their hot rods from the dealership when they see older rods sitting on the side of highway.

If it were easy, everyone would do it. I feel this project and know where he's coming from.

I also love staring at the clouds while doing donuts at that is hard to do through a windshield.
My view is, it makes the car weaker, mildly unsafer (as if g bodies were thr safest to begin with), massively more prone to rust and afaik no one makes replacement t tops and few make seals that actually seal. It just seems like such a self imposed hurdle. The only car that needs t tops is a 77 trans am. Y'all know why.

Just painted the headlight bezels. After that I decided to tear the taillights completely down and get them all clean so I can start the restoration on them. They should clean up nicely. Was hoping to prime the grille this evening but I’m going to try finding some thinner masking tape for the chrome trim.
