Also found a set of Lear siegler seats covered in leather and suede and I think that is what I will do to my car when the time comes, did a side by side with the original style and I really like the leather and suede look plus it would be easier to get instead of 40 year old Brandon cloth.

My 84' Grand National had those seats. By far the nicest G body seat produced. Great find!

So unfortunately it appears the USPS has lost my chassis paint in the mail and instead of the seller sending me another gallon he insisted that he refund my money so guess I will have to find something else to use for the chassis. I did however get the body on dollies to roll it around my garage, and also got all the corporate blue parts painted. I also installed the new fuel pump and motor mounts. I was going to install the new oil cap but it got bent in shipping and won’t fit, maybe the shouldn’t have stuck it beside brake rotors...

Did quite a bit of research and have decided to give this a try on the frame, I went ahead and ordered this kit and am also going to order a couple other things from them once I get paid again. They offer a topcoat in a satin black finish that is UV stable that I will do after the frame is initially done with this kit.

Got a about 55-60% of the frame wire wheeled yesterday before I cooked my cheap grinder. Will pick up another one today probably and maybe continue working on it this evening. Also stripped the clear coat off the wheels but they have some corrosion that needs to be addressed. I’m going to see about getting some quotes on getting them refinished and or possibly polishing them myself undecided what I’m going to do at this point.

I'm sure you've noticed, but that's machined finish (like grooves in a record), not polished. Polishing would involve taking those grooves off. I don't know if you want to do that to such rare wheels.

That’s why I’m undecided on what I’m going to do with them. Will probably see about getting some quotes about restoring them
