Just picked up 79 gmc caballero i do paint and body work pretty solid car little rust but thinking of doing full frame drop amd upgrade of brakes and suspension has older 400 sbc not to bad going to tear it about and slove all leaking issues 700r4 trans with gm 3:42 rearend she does on hell of a burnout

Not to sure about keeping the nose yet thinking of the modern front cover and rear roll pan amd smooth out rear hump on quarter that lives under the stock rear cover but yes not to bad of a start for 2500 3rd rimes the charm

I made a steel rear rollpan on my 79 Elco. I cut out and patched over the area of those ugly bumps.

I also transferred the licence plate to the rollpan,smoothed the tailgate, installed 67-68 Firebird taillights in the tailgate and moved the side marker lights up and rearward. BTW my Elco is now A 2dr. wagon.

Maybe some color might make that front grow on you, I always did have an odd thing for liking those noses. And if you don't want to keep it there shouldn't be any issues find it a new home on this fourm.
