Not Looking Good for Florida

Did a quick trip around property on mule and looks good so far. Some pines got topped out and debris. Power lines still up and driveway open
Pretty windy and rainy here in SW Georgia
I don't expect Armageddon as doves feeding in field so that is a good sign

Hope you're able to get your power back soon, Greg.
I think it came in as a tropical storm by the time it got up to you. But, a tropical storm is still up to 70 mph and not to take lightly.
I believe it came in as a Cat 1 in our neck of the woods.

Good luck!

Glad to here you rode out all good. May have a tornado go thru earlier as heard like a train.
Thanks

I'm glad to hear all is well up by you. Things could have gotten worse, no doubt about it.
A tornado would have been devastating. I have never experienced one, nor do I ever want to.

Hey Paul,
It was still a little rainy this AM with gusty winds. We got done cleaning up the tree debris and piled it at the curbside. It certainly was a large storm...wider than the state of Florida and covered many miles around.

I hope you guys are ok down there.

My friend had a tree branch go into the the roof last night. It hit into one of roof beams which probably stopped it from going into the house. No one got hurt thankfully.
Thanks Joe,
Things could've turned out a lot worse.. I'm glad your friend is alright. You're right, that tree could've crashed into the house and hurt or killed someone. A roof can always be repaired.

Florida dodged a huge bullet with wind shear and where it made landfall. It could have been way worse. I will know more tomorrow when I get briefings on claim counts and such. Don't really trust the media but I know a lot of people are affected, not prepared, have no insurance for wind or flood and not capable of dealing with the stress of an event. Like I said previously if you can help, please do but be sure of where your help is directed. If you have damage and file a claim please be careful of what you sign.
Just wanted all to know that as adjusters we are trained to find coverage and this is a re-insurance event. Be aware that you bought and signed your policy(Contract) and you get what you pay for. G Body or Yugo......
We are in Devcon 5 and have a bunch of help on the way. Have increased pay to outside adjusters to get job done.
There goes my annual fishing trip in October. My son said we will miss you. At times.....I wonder...
I wish all well

Good advice, Greg.
And yes, we certainly did dodge the bullet. Had it moved more west out into the gulf, we'd be screwed. It was uncertain for awhile. The course seemed to shift west...then east.
But the outcome could have been really bad. Jacksonville is now dealing with extreme flooding.
I'm sure with you being on a CAT team, you're going to be busy for awhile. I hope the reinforcements come soon.
