old motor

If thats the starter thats on the motor you pictured it'll work just fine. I didn't realize the motor was complete and still in the truck, with that you should have almost everything you need. Most of the accessorys should work for you. Not sure about the P/S pump but I'm guessing you'll be alright. As far as the headers I can't say weather a Chevy truck set will work in a G. Anyone??? And depending on the transmission you use you may need a different crossmember and possibly driveshaft. It looks like you've got alot of what you'll need already though

The starter should work just fine. The headers? no. Don't run the positive wire as it is on that truck either. It is begging for a fire. On stock SBC installations, there is a bracket the wire goes through that keeps it off the frame and exhaust. It bolts to the block. Trust me on this one, it is a SERIOUS mistake to omit it. (Don't ask!) Watch all of your wire routing when you do the swap. Keep it away from heat and vibration sources. It sucks that the truck is a 4x4, otherwise you could use the transmission off of it.

ok cool yea that positive wire is not like that anymore but the truck is in pieces right now but i have to move the truck and then move the car so i can start working on them and then take the transmission out of the car and see what i have

hey

well i have been thinking about getting a th400 and a 205 for my truck would the 350 transmission fit my car with the 350 small block? both chevy

Are you talking about the transmission that's in the truck now?

Wouldn't be worth the hassle. The truck is 4wd correct? You would have to change the output shaft and find a tailshaft housing. Just easier to get a short tail 350 turbo somewhere else.

well i have come to just getting the car on the road now and rebuilding the transmission and give the old 301 a tune up. would yall think getting new spark plugs and wires and change the oil would help it out?
