That answers two of my questions, thanks. What about the dual exhaust though? If it hooks up to the 307, will there be any problems re-using it for the 350?

All small block Olds engines have the same external dimentions, so anything that bolts to your 307 can carry over to your 350.

Just keep in mind that if you end up changing to different manifolds or to headers, you will need to make small modifications to the exhaust to make it work.

Im in the process of disassembling my olds 350 and was wondering how do I remove the oil dipstick? I already have the engine on the stand upside down with the oil pan off. I just want to know the right way to remove it so I wont damage it.

Just tap the dipstick out with a block of wood or something. Hit the end that is usually hidden by the oil pan. It's just a press fit and should come out with no problems.

So I removed my pistons today and now im getting ready to remove the crankshaft. In what position should I store the crankshaft so it wont get damaged?

1. If you go with headers, what do you do with the oxygen sensor, assuming you want to keep the computer?

You just need to weld an O2 sensor bung into the header collector. However you'll likely need to extend the O2 sensor wiring since the header collector will be further away from the original sensor location.
You will also likely need to change the stock O2 sensor out for a heated one. The problem with moving the O2 sensor further away from the exhaust ports in the heads is that it can throw off the readings because the exhaust ends up cooling off too much. A heated sensor wouldn't have this problem.

2. I want to install true duals. I already ordered a dual hump crossmember. If I was to hook up the duals to my 307, will they also fit the 350 that I plan to drop in later? The cat has already been replaced by a straight pipe, if that makes any difference. Emissions testing is slack here in Canada.

As said, anything that bolts to a 307 will bolt up to a 350. It just may need slight tweaking depending on the brand of manifolds/headers used, etc.

3. Which would you be more concerned about dealing with the added power of a 350 ... the transmission, or the rear end?

The transmission by far.

So I'm in the process of putting my engine back together but first I need to get some new pistons. I'm going with the edelbrock performer cam and I was wondering which pistons should I use? Should i go with stock or something else?
