What’s your guys opinions I haven’t really scrubbed with more then a cloth with some oil on it I personally think a hone would clean it up enough block has been bored .30 over allready in the past so trying to avoid making it any thinner/buying pistons ect only 2 cylinders are really effected that’s why only posted pics of them

Yep. Hone new rings. Make sure to gap them and imo wouldn't have the gap towards any rust or pitting.

I have put some shady stuff together but that third pic is pitted BAD. I would have to sleeve it.

Honestly, those are an out dated, heavy forged piston with thick rings. A lighter piston with modern rings is a good idea on the 455. With big heavy, soft connecting rods and a big heavy crank in a marginal strength block. You should be able to go 60 over, another .030" on a good block. Hone it by hand and see how it comes out but an overbore or sleeve may be necessary.

Pic is worth nothing in this case. i need to see it. Looks like fluid in 3rd pic to me. I'd try a hone. If it is above and below the ring reversals I'd run it.
