You are a sellout.

If you get rid of the wagon The Board will have to pull your longroof membership card.

:)

No shame in buying one someone else (the factory) built. A Hellcat's a good way to do it. I never understood the anti-write-a-check to get what you want ideals anyway. Everyone always writes out a check. Some write more than one check to different vendors to get the car they want, others write one to the dealership to get what they want. Some of us do both.

Perspectives change as your bank account changes and physical abilities change. You youngsters now think it won't happen to you...just wait.

I see it as a turn-key hot rod that you can still modify and still be instantly street legal at least until you get it off the dealer lot.

Times have changed. This could be 1981. Then you wouldn't have ANYTHING to buy. NOTHING. Albeit choices are a bit limited, at least you have some for the near future. I'd have never thought after everything went FWD in the late 80s that we'd EVER see the resurrection of factory horsepower being some engineering group's priority again. I'm glad I got to stick around to see it.

Enjoy it. You'll look back at this one day and be damned glad you pulled the trigger. That's probably in a couple of weeks perhaps!

good for you, that's gonna be quite a ride brother.the worst part is people are gonna assume you're just another D'bag that signed on the line and now feel entitled (corvette owners cough cough)to go out and troll for anything on wheels.when in all reality you've been in the trenches building and piloting some awesome home built iron that's faster than anything a lot of us have had/will ever have for years.(y)

The exception is the douche who shows up to an event bragging & acting like they were the one who built it ground up, being new or used. Usually a owner of a brand new Vette.

I get it. I lost an airboat buddy of yesterday and he lived life. Died with no money but had a nice shop, several acres in the country and a few toys. You never now when your name is drawn. I always looked at purchases as will it affect my family? I have my El C, a nice truck, house and the only debt is my truck. Enjoy it and I for one am glad you did it.

I expressed this the other day - the opportunity to have been a part of the second serious performance era. The options are 10 fold what they were in the 60s and 70s.

Every performance oriented manufacturer is pumping out cars North of 500hp. Even f*cking KIAs have over 400hp.

I've done everything from Turbo Buick to a Vortec 350, LS1 and up, and now a supercharged HEMI. Just saying that out loud gives me goose bumps.

Gather 'round children and let Grampa Motorhead tell ya 'boot the early 2000s.
