You gotta pull that one so we can see it!
Just hoping the cylinder is fine. I've got 8 rods and pistons if you need one

It will be on my wall of Sha... I mean learning.

I have a spare Gen 3.5 6.0, just not sure how I want to proceed yet.

Option 1: Summit rods/pistons and send...
Option 2: Replace bad with good from spare donor...
Option 3: Slap in Donor and Send....

Going to check over the donor today or tomorrow.

Got the B motor accessories stripped. Rockers out and ready for a wash.

I have mixed emotions about this thing. It doesn't appear to have been maintained...

I have a feeling it's going to need bearings and the cam bearing is gonna come out with the cam I'm thinking.

It looked not to bad in the valve covers, so I'm guessing it got oil somewhat regularly. Probably wasn't run hard with the 1/4" of plug gap either. I have my reservations about this.

It Would be nice to see the rod bearings, especially number 8.
Assuming the rod got the bends, I would assume a tune issue at the level of boost you were at. But there is always the chance that the rod was compromised as well, but I hate hoping something like that was the case.

I like your ‘wall of shame/learning’. I have one of those as well.

Regarding #8’s bore, if it looks good, then send it.

Oh, it was all incorrect tuning. Great learning opportunity that rods aren't nearly as robust as you might think.

I will be doing a full analysis and many pics of shame will be taken. I suspect the bearing won't look terrible as it was pretty much new, but we will see.

Bound to happen when you’re making 1500hp+ on a stock engine.
What about 500?! Or even 425? 😆

Last time looking at bearings got you in trouble. Slam it together and send it.

If the HGs aren't paper, don't even pull the heads. The studs are overkill.
