We've got an entire setup with no delay if you want to pay the freight. It worked properly at when the car last ran.

Lol, previous owner removed them. I don't know why, max effort race chassis for the 11.5 second small block I guess....

I have to say that I've never understood that, but also I've never built a 'max effort' ride. Perhaps he had no idea that it would ever be street driven again. Either way ??
Let me contemplate that offer, It sounds like a deal and a half.

I don't understand a "Max effort" low 12s car with no interior and everything possible stripped out of it. If your that slow leave the bench seat and everything in it, you aren't gaining much.

It made sense 20+ years ago when 12s was a big deal.

Sorry, it was 12.54 @107. Not even a low 12s car. lol

Gotta save the 8lbs from the wipers
I am in the same boat as you. My car has been parked for 17 years. I ripped EVERY pound I could out of it back then to run an 11.56 and now I am old and need creature comforts like heat, ac, wipers and a radio!
That is why I was lucky and found a donor car for $450 and managed to sell enough parts from it to pay for it.

Lol, I am not sure I want to put it all back in this car, but if you consider what is available to own new now, the bar is set high. I had a SRT8 Chrysler 300 and it was SOOOOOOO nice for a powerful car. A guy is surprised how quickly you need heated and cooled cup holders in every vehicle afterwards.

I kinda got stuck from the previous owner on a few things but I want "Streetcar" status, and the only path to it is putting some of the stuff back in.

That's why I was kinda happy with my starting-ish point; 11.2 @ 122 mph. Full interior-everything; pretty sure I even left the 2x 5gallon jugs of E85 in the trunk, with all the tools 😀

I had a co-worker, who has since retired, that built a Vega in the late '80's that ran low 10's at it's best. The 3rd time out while trying to dial in the launch and before he felt he needed wheelie bars, he flipped the car over backwards. I seen the pictures and all I can ever think about is that the car made enough power to flip over backwards and never ran a 9. That's what 6.__ gears and 10,000 rpms will do - it was all about the launch and the 1st 330, then kinda just ride it out. The car was a soda can with everything possible gutted out of it. He turned into a nitrous guy when it started becoming readily available in the 90's.

Don't feel bad, I don't have wipers, or a motor, or a bracket to mount said motor. Some genius decided to delete them.
And the air conditioner! 😕

And the heat. Meh, roll the windows down and go! It doesn't get Houston hot swamp *ss here though.
I'm such a soft fatty, that I was unwilling to countenance a car with no A/C when I was 16.
