Looking good. This thing is going to make some steam soon enough. But, go pay those bills and enjoy the scenery.

I head out of the Socialist Paradise right after Hurrican Elsa comes and gives us a good working over....

Good times! 😎

Nice to see they are waking up to using properly designed bearings with inner and outer races. I highlighted that problem on LS1tech years ago - just as the bronze bushings came on scene to compensate for the Comp trunnion upgrade eating through the non-hardened shafts.

Can you explain the rocker setup?
I don't know if I've ever seen this.
Its basically a rocker shaft setup to distribute load over several fastener points to reduce deflection at high RPM with upgraded bearings and retainers so it doesn't puke rollers into the bottom end.

I bought the brass bushed trunions for gen 1 of this motor but I was never really in love with the idea for a "street driven" car. I think this will be a big upgrade for where I need the power band to be. Now I just need more cam, eventually.....

Those are for ‘spinning it’ baby 🙂

Stock rockers will cover 7500 all day and an occasional 8k moment with 400lbs over the nose. These rocker shaft setups are ready 600-700psi over the nose - meaning a crap ton of rpms and boost. 8500+ and 40-50psi on the back side of valve.

It ain’t a junkyard LS build anymore 😂

Hopefully, with no sarcasm intended. I want see how long it takes you to swap to a GT55. And I think you know someone that will be interested in the S488 😉
Lol, I was thinking 96/113. Something T6 that bolts in.

Either way I should have everything more or less matched up, other than the cam, for what I want to do. I finally made a plan and had a goal, then stopped changing mid build like a retard.

Stop the ‘changing of the plan’.
I was kidding about the turbo. Big power is way easier than going fast.
If you can get it to turn a 1000hp time slip, then you’ll know the next step. I’m struggling with what I have and that about 4 sizes smaller if turbo.
