in all reality, I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. always wanted to use something like that on the regal's cluster.
 
Yeah I'm curious about the wood myself.
To answer the headlight question that is a Superfly conversion. Very popular in the 70s and 80s in inner-city neighbors the first custom work I did when I was a kid learning body work was move the rear bumper on a Cadillac barrettes for a custom built Continental kit Asbury Park was a different place when I was a kid lol. And if you want to go on spoke I got you man!

I was looking up the veneer to metal.

All I could find was to use a silicone based adhesive.

Take a comb to even it out along the entire metal plate.

Finally take a milk crate or something similar filled with bricks or something heavy evenly distributed and sit it on iy until it's dry.
