The 200R4 works best with a real Monte SS valve body and matching governor for the 3.73 gear rearend. You can source an aftermarket shift kit and possibly a Turbo Buick servo. Both the 200R4 and 700R4 are dependent on the TV cable to be adjusted properly to work. The 200R4 will work just fine without the lock-up function where as the 700R4 must have the lock-up for the converter to lock between 45-50 MPH or it will have a short life.

For the 2004R, if the pan isn't full of black sludge, get the big Transgo HD2 shift kit with billet servo. The dual feed option isn't necessary and go with the firmest shift options, not harsh. The Servo also needs to be put in with enough clearance or you burn out the band. I used either one or no washers when I installed it.

One other thing is the 3:73 single slip or positive reason I ask sometimes both will acel as one other times as a the right axle, if it's that is a single slip is there a kit or product to make it positive track other than tacking the spider gears together
Thx again a rear end person I am not the motors I can deal with guess I need to go to a trade school to get educated more on other Dynamics of the car
