There is an orange wire that has been disconnected from wherever it went. It's on the driver side by the fuse box and I have no clue what it's for. Does anyone know what it could be?

It's just a bare wire with no connectors or anything.

check it with a test light, see if it has power.
If so, when does it power up?

Do you still have the light under the dash?

I don't notice any lights that are out. I know the light on the hood doesn't work, but I don't believe that is an orange wire.

I don't have power seats or windows. I've touched it accidentally and I didn't get shocked so I don't believe it has power.

gotta remember that these car were wired for most options whether you had them or not. could end up being a wire that was for an option you don't have. they put 1 main wiring harness in these cars with harness ends that other harneses would plug into.

basically if everything works ....why worry

Not sure if you were joking or not but, 12 volts in a car won't shock you. Grab both posts of your battery, you won't feel anything. :)
