I like it the flames will scare the other guys, it will grow on ya

but guys with hondas and fart exhaust systems don't have the brains to be scared....

I think black would look really hot on it, especially with the ground effects. I'm a one color type of guy though. My el camino was two tone, when I got it repainted I went one color and I really love the look especially with the front spoiler. BTW, in fairfield county myself. Not a fan of this weather.

SOME ISSUES... LMAO... looked like some clown got bored with a weed wacker and went to town on the wiring, the choke was wired up on the carb, the TV cable was ZIP TIED ON, the heat was bypassed, the radiator filled with rust brown water/coolant... JUST TO NAME A FEW ISSUES... but, all that said, after a new heater core, a couple new hoses, she now has heat... a radiator flush (just till the new one gets here), and coolant looks clean... new TV cable (thanks to who ever posted the thread on how to adjust it properly)... and the wired up choke just needed some use and its back to working... oh, and the surface rust on the valve covers and a dozen years of dust sure did make it look rough... valve covers surprisingly cleaned up nice for how bad they were... i had a 15+ year old bottle of "the original navel jelly rust dissolver" that just ate away the rust in minutes... its coming along... just ordered a little over $1300 worth of chrome (or as my wife calls it, shiney sh*t we dont need) for under the hood... as soon as everything gets here n i get it installed pics will follow...

Thoughts on what rims should be on her? I am partial to the "outlaw" style rims, but the AR's will have to stay until i have $... and the rear tires are extra wide, not sure actual size, havent really paid much attention to them, and she came with two brand new tires for the rear rims... SMOKE SHOWS TO FOLLOW....

Well, not a color I would choose but I think if the flames were gone it would look decent, the rims to me look a little more retro for something older maybe.
As far as ground effects I personally like them on Monte's and I have a full set of Lauren Engineering ground effects including their rear spoiler, rear wrap and the front
extension (an old picture of the front of my car is used on their site for that)
And I can't tell you how many times people have thought the side ones were stock SS ones on my car, besides they hide my frame and 4-1/2" exhaust.

I agree with the wheel, I don't mind the skirts, but I think the color is wrong for them.

565bbchevy, I had though about just extending my rockers on the wagon just for this, to hide the frame.

Funny--Your car doesn't look bad to me..or - too 'BAD', either--just different. Its' also the first flame job I 'kinda liked'--too bad, like the other poster said, they may act as cop magnets...

so i have decided the flames stay... at first i didnt really like them, but they have grown on me, and as for a cop magnet, they just nod and check it out... actually had a cop give me the sign to do a burnout today, dont think he was expecting me to cook through half of my tires and leave the road a smoke screen, but hell, he gave me the ok so i gave her hell... that and ALOT of chics like the purple flames... i have had at least a dozen chics ask about the flames... 😀
