Positive camber issue

Hey all. I have a positive camber issue that i noticed after installing new UMI springs, along with new shocks and a sway bar. I also redid all the a arm bushings (stock a arms) and front end kit. The issue may have been there before I started, I am not sure. But i do know everything (shims, etc) went back in their place. I did install new control arm shafts, not sure if they are offset but they are labelled “towards wheel” so i am assuming they are oriented correctly. The car rides good and goes straight down the road, doesn’t pull, could probably let go of the steering wheel even. I would like to just correct some of the obvious positive camber. Is there a limit to how many shims can be used (it already has a decent little stack) or should i try flipping the control arm shafts first? Not interested in taking it to a shop, have had very bad luck with my stuff in the hands of others, to the point it’s simply not an option, stories for another day …

I'm at -1 degree camber, as long as there's a thread past the nut, I consider it good. I did make solid spacers though, I'm not a fan of stacking the U-spacers. I did use the U-spacers for fine tuning.

Okay Ill have to see how much thread engagement I have currently.

What about flipping the control arm shafts? They are currently installed as intended per the markings. I *think* they are offset (hence the markings) not positive.

Oh sorry. You said camber and I was thinking caster. If you have too much camber. Run the threads in to effectively shorten the arm.

It is good to dial that stuff in a bit because it's alot of labour for a shop to change that with the spring loading the suspension.

No worries. By threads, what threads are you talking about?

okay i have plenty of thread left but also have (what i’d consider) a decent stack of shims on there already.

Unless i am mistaken, It does appear that the control arm shafts are offset, and it does appear that if i flip them it would reduce the positive camber. They are labelled “wheel side” cast into them and that side is currently facing the wheel so I am asking if this is ok to do or not. I dont know how much effect flipping them would have… thoughts ??

Wondering if i unknowingly replaced straight shafts with offsets … 🤔

Do your upper arms have rod ends threaded into the arm? Shortening them will reduce positive camber.
