Wow, 2 '61 Bubble Tops? Nice...The '65 Fastback was the first real car I messed with, my first car was a '61 VW bug that I put fiberglass fenders and racing seats in, but that doesn't count. I bought the Mustang in '73 for 600 bucks, dropped a washer in the carb while it was running and it was the first motor I ever built. I intended to keep it when I joined the Navy, but my folks got divorced and sold the house while I was in boot camp so I had to sell it quick before going to sub school. I sold it to my uncle that just wanted to flip it for $450, but he only gave me $400 and owes me 50 bucks to this day!...The Datsun was the second car I ever messed with. I bought it new (had it and the Mustang at the same time) and drove it while I was in the Navy, then started fixing it up after I was set free. Lowered, molded in fiberglass fenders, Porsche red paint, sunroof, buckets seats, header, bigger carb, the usually late 70's, early 80's mini truck stuff...and then there's about a million VW's...

81 El Camino, started its life as a rusty maroon, factory 229 V6 3 speed stick.. ended it's life Silver/black 2 tone 350 LT1 4 speed car
