Yeah but you don't see as many as the 4 wheel drive ones. This one was fully loaded...and I mean everything right down to the factory concert sound speaker pods on the door panels. I used it to pull our 25' camper around the province...with the 383 and 3:42 rear it had no problems pulling whatsoever. I was driving/working on a 78 4x4 Blazer when I found this one. I'll have to see if I can find pics of it...had alot into that one too.
I'd love a 2wd k5 :)

I would love an late 60's early 70's 2 wheel drive. I had a couple of 1/2 tons...

There was a minty one running around town. I sorta knew the guy...he had to give it to the wife in the divorce.

niCE 81!!! what are the fender vents from?
Those fender vents are from a old Lesabre and I cut one vent off and angled the ends and then opened up the holes to make them functional, I also made another set and installed them on my Monte.

Greetings Guys; This has been a Fun thread to keep up with, you guys are Amazing! As kid in the early 60's I did some minor body work & hated it. Dirty, dusty & it didn't make the car any faster! So I concentrated on the engine & believe it or not I did the brakes & suspension too. Grand Pa gave me his 49 Studebaker in 1961 knowing that I would sell it to get a 55 Chevy. The only car to own if ya wanted ZIP. I sold the Stude to my uncle & started on the engine for my yet to be purchased 55. Started with a 283 bored it .125 over for 302 cu in. Forged Jahun's 11 to1 pistons, Isky solid cam & ported iron heads that I worked 2 winters on. Toped it off with a Mallroy distributor & dual four's (wcfb's?) off a 1959 Vette. I wasn't quite 15-1/2 yet when a another uncle tossed me the keys to his brand new 61 Vette, so needless to say that was the first car I ever drove. So 64 rolls around I got my 55, the engine has been done for months, put it all together by summer. Raced every chance or time I got challenged The only car I remember beating me was my buddies 327- 340HP Vette as we raced nearly every week just for fun (farm country back roads). He had a 4 speed trans, lighter car & more cubes.
Mr pontiacgp, I'm adding a picture just for you. During the terrible (hot rod) 70's I built bicycles. Fit guys & gals with custom frames (purchased) build the wheels & hung the components. This is the one I built for my self, 1976. Take care, Ole' Bob.
