When I was in Charleston, SC for Navy service, I worked with a guy from Pennsylvania. He would bring back bags of Utz chips. I'd never heard of them before. The BBQ ones were jam up and jelly tight. They were so good I would periodically order a box of chips directly from Utz. No lie, they would come in a big sturdy cardboard box, like 2 lbs of the chips, and there would be like a clear trash bag inside full of chips. The whole box. Tied up with a bread tie. I'd be sick as a dog eating 1/2 a pound at a time. But they were good. Had to wash them down with plenty of brew.

I know they're not pretzels, but my favorite snack chip in the whole universe is plain old Jay's potato chips. They always had just the right amount of grease and salt. Tasty AF. When I go see my brother in Illinois sometimes we'd pick up a few bags of them. Totally delish. Sprinkle with some Frank's xtra hot sauce....

Is Utz a Pennsylvania/regional thing or are they Nationwide?

Sourdough specials and cold beer can bribe me to do most things.
