I removed the long post with all the e-mails attached, and here's why:

You involved several other parties in that, who didn't deserve to have their names and e-mails included.
I can't be certain that it's 100% legit, or verbatim. I'm not going to let this site become the venue for disputes like this. Just like with the For Sale and Wanted sections, you should take it up off the board if possible.

Sorry if this comes across as being "biased towards the sponsors" ... admittedly, it is. The vendors (along with everyone's visits) keep the site running, without them it wouldn't be here. If I were to come into knowledge that any of the sponsors were deliberately and repeatedly engaging in scammy unreputable behavior, they wouldn't be sponsors anymore. I have to take both sides of stuff like this as I get it, and quite honestly, one or two reports of "the sky is falling" doesn't warrant anything.

There is no such thing as the perfect vendor. Screwups happen, and they don't always get handled to our satisfaction. A simple "Would not do business again" would have sufficed in this case.

Being a moderator on another popular board I understand the position of the Admin side of the house. However, when it comes to the shear ethics of it all the question should be where the harm is being caused here. Is it to the vendor or to the membership?

By allowing a politely uncensored voice (I don't recall doing any name calling or being vulgar?) the vendor can either satisify the concerns of the few who are willing to vocalize their concerns publicly (vice sitting in fear of being banned) and salvage their business' lost social capitial; or a forum can "protect" the vendor and leave the membership to fend for itself - caveat emptor and all that.

Ultimately if you want to run this site as a business do so, or if you want to use it as a public forum to help enthusiasts do so. But, it is unlikely that you can have it both ways.

Regardless, it is quite clear that there is a communication breakdown within GBP.com and that has left a sour taste in the mouth of many, many who are sitting in the shadows unwilling to speak up.
