A couple more parts. Moog 5660 front springs ( trimming required ). Belltech 1.25" lower bumpstops, and a Derale P/S cooler. I will mount this up front next to a Trans cooler.

This little cooler is only $18, and has -6 AN fittings.

I got the front control arms installed ( not torqued ). As most reading this know you have to enlarge the front lower control arm hole on the frame to accommodate the larger S-10 bolt. I used a UniBit and just just drilled to the next size up on the bit. It only took seconds to enlarge the holes.

Hitch/frame brace.

My next victims... paint the steering components. Kinda damp and rainy around here the next couple days, we'll see.

On another note. I got to see my old S-10 I built 20 years ago. I sold it to one of my buddies, and got it out yesterday for a drive. It still looks great for a 20 year old garage paint job. Has a nasty 355 / manual TH350 / 9" / Caltracs / 4 wheel discs. I was happy to see it.

That's my daily Hemi Ram in the background. Look close, you can see the GBodyForum sticker on the back glass. :giggle: Stay safe my friends.

Memory's from back in the day, miss seeing all those S10's (& other mini trucks) cruising around. Glad to see one still survives.

Good progress James. I never did come up with "Machine Shop". Again, not that creative. Looking forward to more updates. Haven't left the house since Wednesday. Stay healthy!

Thanks, Jared. I'm hoping to have a complete rolling chassis in the next couple weeks. I feel like it's been too long since I have seen you. When this CV-19 blows away, we need to get together and have " Motivational Meeting ". :giggle:

Got the idler arm, center link, and tie rods cleaned, primed, and painted today. I also got the steering box cleaned up, and will paint it tomorrow. I'm taking the week off. Not even messing around with CV-19. There was a 9th confirmed case in my building today... no thanks! I'll quarantine right in my shop, and do something that makes me happy.

Here's a comparison of the stock springs to the Moog 5660 springs. It's obvious the wire diameter is larger than the stockers, and therefor, they will be firmer. The 5660's are generally referred as "stock height" replacements, so even though they are a couple inches shorter, I will still need to trim them.

I'm seriously considering buying Blazer drop spindles, even though I already have (2) pair of stock Blazer spindles. I can get them for $205 shipped. I just don't think I'm going to be happy with the height of these coil springs. Sell a pair of the stock height Blazer spindles, and recoup some of the money. I probably should have budgeted the money, and just bought coil overs, so I can put it where I want it, but that would be over a $1000. I will probably just trim the springs till I'm happy... 🤷‍♂️ I have to keep telling myself " this is just a cruiser " BUT I WANT A COOL CRUISER!!

It would be great to see you James. I'll be looking forward to it. Were you aware that the track width is reportedly wider with the Blazer drop spindles? I can't verify that but have read it more than once. You have everything you need. I would just wait until the end and cut the springs as needed. I have 5660's and that's what I'm going to do. If I remember right, a full coil is 2" but we need to check with Steve (pontiacgp) to confirm. He knows.

I'm going to ask him. Thanks!

Steve says 1/2 coil = 2" drop. That's where I will start.
