BUILD THREAD Project long time coming

Thanks! I always wanted coil overs. Makes setting ride height sooo much easier. Want to change engines to an LS, simply reset your ride height in 10 minutes. I finally just had to say screw it and spend the $ to get the parts I always wanted. Only thing left to order is the front musclebar from them.... took awhile to pay off the stuff I did buy LOL

I always go with the theory you can't take the money with you so enjoy it while you can, as I eagerly wait for my tenants to get their tax return so I can get a big chunk of change which will be going into the car.

So I bought an Edelbrock Vortec intake years ago. It was new/used. Had never been installed but the guy started porting it and never finished. So that's today's project... Kinda forgot how tedious & time consuming it is LOL

Thank you!

Just finished the intake. It's not perfect, but at least all the ports are ported now and similar in size. I couldn't just leave one port done and none of the rest!View attachment 83210
Annnnd now you have learned why guys who professionally port and polish stuff charge what they do. I messed around with an intake years back, it takes some true patience and time to not screw em up.

Looks good man, is that going purple too?

Most people that don't machine a lot of Aluminum don't put any grease or lubricant on the cutter and whatever they are using quickly loads up with aluminum gum and they give up.

Nah, going to keep it aluminum... maybe clear powder coat.

Yeah I knew better. Lots of WD40 makes a world of difference! Really only took me about 2 hours. Not too bad.
