I know lots of guys just loop the line for their occasional street beater that's on the prowl. You mentioned some track time as well as actual drive time so I figured dead-heading might cause cooling issues on track which hampers the fun of your efforts. Glad you found something readily available @ hopefully a decent price.scoti thanks for the heads up. I found this valve. It goes in both lines. When you're supplying vacuum, it bypasses the heater core and returns coolant thru the other hose back to the water pump. Guess this is/was a common thing. This one was originally for late 90's Suburban.

You're correct, those lines can't be plugged. Or I should say, if you do then there will be a consequence to it.I know lots of guys just loop the line for their occasional street beater that's on the prowl. Brings back bad memeries of trying to get the seat mount holes and seat belt holes in the correct location - that definitely is a PITA when the carpet has memory in it.Should be able to spend some time with it this weekend, I know it won't be done, but hopefully much forther along.
