Fully welded in. Now I can focus on finishing the pieces to fill in around the body where the main hoop goes thru, and patch the floor where the old shifter hole was. I'll need to install one of the seats to get the proper height for the cross bar, then I can notch that and weld it in. Then I can reassemble the interior...

Oh and 64nailhead the Harbor Freight welding blanket works great 👍

Thank you! Took me much longer than I anticipated, trying to get five things all lined up, while simultaneously holding them can be tricky LOL I marked the main hoop, and the plate above the spring with the location of the down bar. But it had to pass thru the back seat delete kit, and thru the sheet metal patch in the trunk above the spring getting each one individually wasn't too bad. But this morning when I thought I was good to go to start welding everything in, realized they were both off just a touch. Plus I had to hold them out of the way to weld the rear of the down bar. Not going to lie, I was a little overwhelmed for about 30 minutes.

Alright, I've searched but haven't come up with a definitive answer. What is the best STYLE of mounting for a 5 pt harness? I can either wrap the two main belts around the bar or weld tabs on and bolt them to the tabs.
I know if I wrap the belts, people complain about them moving around so they use shaft collars to stop them.

Mine wander around and I wrap them around the cross bar. I'm making a strap with velcro that will attach the two straps together. They will only be able to move a couple of inches. I've considered welding on a tab and then thought against it due to the concern of whacking my head on it when getting in and out of the back seat area.

You know they aren't street legal?

The belts? Yes. Not worried about that. I have several hookups for state inspections. That's why my daily driver has tint 😎

I guess I'm going to use tabs then. That way they won't move and also won't wear the paint off the rollbar.
