BUILD THREAD Project Olds Cool (Recognition!!)

Thank you!

You’re quite welcome. I had a look, and the stuff I have is the 623. I’m not even sure what the difference is between the two.
What’ve you got that’s gonna need treating?

If the sell it in gallon pails i figure I would paint the entire car with it and be good!!

Nothing as of now but alway good to know what works!

Thanks for the link, I need this and may try evaporust as well on the 88 this winter. A ridiculous amount of attention to detail as usual Donovan, one day it will add up to a driveable car🙂.

Interesting how the 623 (8oz) is more expensive than the 624 (16oz) - and I cannot find a definitive difference between the two products.

Thanks for that link to the comparo Mike. Very useful and informative. Unfortunately for me, some of those products aren’t available local to me here, but so far I’ve been more than satisfied with the 623 I’m using.

Oh, it’s never stopped being drivable! I could throw the battery back in it within 2 minutes and be doing a burnout in your driveway if needed!
😉
Thanks for the compliment tho.

Will you brush the converter and sealer down inside the door bottom? What's your plan to protect that seam from the inside?

Yep, ya blew it!
😅
That’s exactly the plan Quinn. Treat the inside by pouring a small amount of converter in at the bottom of the seam, and tipping it back and forth until it comes out the drain holes.
And then as a preventative measure for the future, treating the inside bottom with wax after it’s painted. That should stop the oxygen and water from propagating the rusting reaction.

I’m working as fast as I can on this, but y’all are out ahead of me before I can even get there!
