I spent most of the holiday with the kids and doing work around the house, but I did find a few minutes to mess around with the grille. After cutting the rest of the eggcrate out l mocked the new grille material in place. I threw a quick coat of satin black around the edge to match the insert

Not sure how I feel about it yet. What do you guys think?

I like it so far but would need to see the header assembled for the 'big picture' yes/no of it 'working' or looking out of place (for lack of a better descript).

Didn’t have a lot of time to mess around this weekend. I seam sealed the interior, opened up the shifter hole a little and installed maybe a third of the dynamat. I’ve got a pretty sizable summit cart ready with much of the rest of what I need in the engine compartment and have been hoping for a sale, but it seems like they’re not doing them these days so I might have to bite the bullet and pay full price.

Been a little hectic lately, but I found some time today to finish up the dynamat inside the car and install the heater box. I had to pull the valve cover to get it to fit. The LSA cover has a “ramp” on the top that the regular LS covers don’t have and it blocked the box from sliding in. I’ll have to relocate coil #8 higher to avoid contact but I was kind of expecting that.

Tomorrow I’ll dynamat the trunk and maybe start prepping the core support and random brackets if I’ve got time. I’ve never done dynamat before and I hope to never do it again. Not difficult just very tedious.

Fed Ex showed up today with the go fast goodies to finish much of the mechanicals. Not in the picture is the dynaliner to go on the floor and roof over the dynamat. I need to get the core support and misc brackets painted and then it’ll be time to tear into the motor.

I’ve got some cool rendering updates on the way too.....

The weather here has sucked lately - super windy and/or rainy whenever I have the time available - so painting the underhood parts has been on hold. I might have to make the 50 mile run to the shop so I can spray them inside.

I received the revised renderings, as well as some logo ideas for the build. I’m really digging the black!
