I think your friends will change their mind when you get some chrome & maybe other accent colors on there. I,ve learned that part of being good at building stuff is to have the vision of what it will look like when it's all done.I see yours looking really goood & unique.
My own wife sometimes has been my worst discouraging critic on many of my projects until they are done- You're going to put a 2010 nose on an 83 car, what's the matter with you? :?:
As far as my friends or co-workers who see many of my metal projects such as my recent bugcatcher air scoop, they many times say - Is that the same part you started with?

Haha, heres a little dose of color for you. Now its time to clean my garage. Still a long way to go, but a big step forward this week.

When I was into Dub's and Audi's it was all about the stance. Low, wide wheels, stretched tires. Stance.. Man u have built a winner. Sweet!!!!

I agree that looks sweet as hell!!!! I am officially bagging my elco now because of this build.

i was skeptical of the color and engine going together but you pulled it off. I hope any vehicle I bag turns out this good. I seriously love the 20s on the elco but if you want to go for 18s i say do it because the changes have yet to be a let down.

I really wanted to paint the car darker brown, and I'm not 100% sure why I didn't(my wife). But it is what it is now, haha. Thanks to everyone for the comments.
I have been pulling together all the trim for the car, and it looks alot better with chrome trim on.

I have new door and window channel weatherstripping to install.

I just riveted new blow out clips in the window channels.

I have new window sweeps that I just installed, and new quarter window trim and seals.

I ordered my carpet today along with a few odds and ends.

I still havent done anything with my bumpers, not sure if I want to paint them color of car, or black, or chrome? Lots of things like that to figure out.

Nothing too new to report 🙁
Put a new black carpet in it. Installed all new weather stripping and seals everywhere. Mounted my air tank and compressors in the smugglers area. Got a new chrome grill and headlight bezels. Slowly putting it back together.

I think I want to pinstripe the whole roof :lol:
