Thanks for the support everyone. Unfortunately Coppertop is still waiting on a settlement. They made an offer but much of their comparisons and "Mitchell's" assessment of value was bogus and a rip off, so I challenged the offer. The agent I was dealing with was a real wench and did some sketchy stuff so I complained to here supervisor and they assigned a new guy to the case and were "willing to consider my thoughts". I got a little sick for a while there so unfortunately I had to put it off for a few months. I finally submitted my research which showed the car would be worth almost twice their assessment. Six weeks later and they're not returning my phone calls or emails. In my research I learned a lot about tactics of insurance companies to get you to settle for less and this was one of them so I have been prepared for the worst and hope for the best. I already have a high reputable law firm that I've been working with who wants to represent us in court but we have to let the insurance company have a chance to accept or reject my offer. On a good note, Roman (my son) has picked up an engine builder sponsor so he'll be running a roughly 600 hp 6.0 LS in the car which will be backed by a T56. His frame is bent so with my frame and Speedtech suspension and coilovers going into his car it should be a great runner. Our Big debut with Coppertop will be the LS fest next May in Vegas, unless the car gets finished before then, but there's a lot of work to be done. We plan to keep build threads here and video footage active as we work on all 3 cars.

Keep us up to date. We were all captivated by the Pumpkinator build, and you trying to get as much done on the car prior to your move to Atlanta...but of course that's all water under the proverbial bridge..
As far as the Coppertop settlement.
I hope you're able to get the insurance company to bend in your favor, they're a slippery lot to deal with. I can't believe that this is still in the process of being settled. However, I shouldn't be surprised the way they can drag things out indefinitely.

Hagerty has agreed value. Or get an appraisal and use a regular insurance broker that can get you agreed value coverage.
